The Company

Based in Ahmedabad, India, CPL Biologicals Pvt. Ltd. is a joint-venture biotechnology company established in 2009 by Novavax Inc., USA and Cadila Pharmaceuticals Limited, one of India’s largest privately held pharmaceutical companies.

CPL Biologicals has a three pronged approach to providing novel, affordable solutions for global healthcare via vaccines, biologics and diagnostics with integrated capabilities from early stage research and development to clinical and commercial manufacturing along with dedicated sales and marketing teams.

CPL Biologicals has established state-of-the-art R&D and manufacturing facilities in Dholka, Gujarat (India), which currently has the capacity of producing up to 25 million doses per year.

CPL Biologicals, as a performance-driven organization, aims to create a diversified range of quality products through inhouse research and development along with co-development and joint ventures opportunities.

Strategy

Our strategy is growth oriented, realistic and focused on biologicals.

Our strategic intent for vaccines is to have a product mix aligned with high, medium and low priority vaccines from WHO vaccine priority list.

We will leverage our in-house innovative technology and R&D capabilities, augmented by strategic partnerships to take leadership position in chosen biologics market segments. By novel innovations, we will seize other opportunities to enter into niche market segments.

We will develop immune-diagnostics for infectious and non-infectious diseases to provide complete solutions for global heath from prevention (vaccines) and diagnosis (diagnostics) to treatment (biologics).

The overall strategy is to continuously consolidate the market position by building a robust pipeline and enhance our product portfolio.
